PEUGEOT SPECIALIST & RACE TEAM

Castle Combe - Saturday 13th July 2013

After a disappointing last race at Cadwell Park, we were hopeful of a good result, its was the hottest day of the Summer not the best racing conditions.

After setting pole position after a few laps other competitors were also doing the same, Carl managed to get 2nd position finishing just 0.110 from Pole Position, he did a great job and was in a promising position for the race with a number of other drivers having pitstop penalties as they had won previous races.

Starting in 2nd position, Carl slipped to 3rd for 4 laps put then gained 1 position until Lap 9 where he lead the race as Nigel Tongue pitted, on the 13th Lap we did our Pitstop, which went well but Carl reported to his pit crew that he had problems with the car we checked a few connections and Carl went out, but to our disappointment Carl came into the pits again reporting the same problem he then tried several more laps but had to retire from the race. We checked the car to find a broken lead from the Alternator, Roll on Pembrey as we have a 2 days of racing and hopefully a result!
